Emerald Park  St. Anthony, MN 2009

U+B was hired by Close Landscape Architecture to design the new architectural components of a community park in the city of St. Anthony. The program includes a community meeting space that also functions as a warming house for seasonal ice hokey, as well as a picnic shelter and a shade structure overlooking the new playground and splash deck. A brick exterior, wood soffits and a metal roof were selected for their scale, durability and life-cycle, with a design that embraces an iconic and warm residential facade welcoming to the neighborhood and passersby.
