Metz Residence Minneapolis, MN 2006
An addition to a 1923 home, the client was interested in maintaining the architectural integrity of the original house while integrating new amenities such as a mudroom, office, master suite and entertainment center. In order to make the addition appear as “if it has always been part of the house”, every effort was taken to match original woodwork, cabinetry and aesthetic elements. New spaces were arranged to suit the clients’ modern lifestyle, to minimize the impact on the existing house and to provide views to a backyard garden.
