U+B Architecture and Design is an award-winning firm led by Founding Principal Paul Udris and Principal Edie Sebesta. Based in Minneapolis we practice nationally and internationally with experience designing custom homes, remodels and apartments in the United States, Costa Rica, Morocco, and Cyprus.

As a boutique architecture firm, U+B cultivates personal relationships with our clients. When you select U+B, one of our principals, Paul or Edie will be the first point of contact and trusted advisor for the entire project from conception to completion. Our work not only includes conceptual planning and design but also the development of the smallest architectural details and the selection of interior fixtures and finishes that make a home truly exceptional and unique to each client.

Process and Services

Our design process begins with an in-depth exploration of the lives of our clients and the unique qualities of each building site. We listen carefully and take the time to understand how our clients live and work to create homes that celebrate both daily routines and special events. We also carefully study each site to develop the ideal relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces to optimize views, sun and shade, breezes and seasonal changes.

As the design evolves, we work collaboratively with our clients to refine and tailor the spaces and develop the timeless details and finishes that will make each project unique. We also work with our clients to help with the contractor selection process and work with contractors to provide timely pricing before the design is complete, allowing for any necessary adjustments to meet your budget. We then work with you and your contractor throughout the construction process to ensure that the vision is executed in a careful and in a timely manner.
