Chad’s experience spans all three fields of architecture, landscape architecture, and planning, including dual Master’s degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia. A holistic thinker and advocate for the importance of site and context, Chad harnesses his multi-faceted experience by considering the nested scales of a project from concept to detail, generating buildings and landscapes as part of an integrated whole. An active listener, he cultivates a collaborative design approach, listening intently to clients and stakeholders to co-create a shared project direction. He believes in and pursues architecture’s potential to connect people to place.
Chad enjoys urban living and maintains an active involvement outside of the office in his local neighborhood through community gardening and membership on committees related to land use, development, and public space.
